Description
Robert Caldwell of Lost & Found and Justin Andrews, business development manager of STG North American Branded and Rest of World divisions, went to STG Danlí in Honduras to work on a new product together. While there, the two discovered bales of Connecticut broadleaf and Ecuadorian Sumatran tobaccos that were 5-8-years-old. Those bales were used to create two blends—EMS and an Oscuro.
The EMS brand is wrapped in an Ecuadoran Sumatra-seed cover leaf. Underneath is a Connecticut broadleaf binder and Dominican, Nicaraguan and Honduran filler. It’s meant to be mild-to-medium bodied, while the stronger Oscuro line was blended to lean earthy and peppery with its Connecticut broadleaf wrapper, Ecuador Sumatra binder and filler of Dominican, Nicaraguan and Honduran tobacco.
"Lost & Found started when a Central American factory gave me a rare blend to sell in the US, and today with the release of this capsule collection from Bolivar Cofradia, it feels like Lost & Found has come full circle," said Caldwell in a press release. "I would have never imagined standing among a sea of bales at HATSA, knowing that any tobacco we wanted to blend with was available to Justin and me. This collection represents the power of a strong collaboration."
