Description
1844 Reserve by H. Upmann is an intricate and complex medium to full bodied cigar that features a dark, reddish-brown Ecuadorian Habano wrapper that's oily and leathery. Bundled up inside the wrapper, you’ll find a thoughtfully blended combination of Nicaraguan and Dominican tobaccos for a smooth, rich in flavor complete with notes of earth, nuts, pepper, and cedar.
H. Upmann is among the oldest cigar brands in existence. In 1843, banker Hermann Dietrich Upmann arrived in Havana, Cuba to conduct business for an import and export company based in Germany. Seeing the potential, he purchased a cigar company and the brand was born in 1844. Today the brand exists as a Cuban brand owned by the Cuban government and a brand for the free world owned by Altadis USA.
