Description
This is a limited-edition La Gloria Cubana brand from Forged Cigar Co. will be arriving in October and it's named after its proprietary hybrid wrapper. Called La Gloria Cubana Criollo de Oro, the cigar’s wrapper is a genetic cross between Criollo ’98 and Pele de Oro tobacco varietals.
The line was the result of cross-pollinating Criollo ’98 and Pelo de Oro seeds which were then planted in Mao, an area of the Dominican Republic with a microclimate well-suited for tobacco. Dubbed Criollo de Oro, the sungrown wrapper is draped over a Connecticut broadleaf binder and a mix of Honduran and Nicaraguan fillers for a strength level that General says is medium in body.
