Description
Drew Estate Undercrown Maduro is a medium to full-bodied treat of a cigar. It comes dressed to the nines in dark and mysterious Otapan Negro Último Corte Maduro wrapper that’s full of sweet, hearty characteristics. Inside, a meticulous blend of Connecticut Habano, Brazilian Mata Fina, and Nicaraguan tobaccos produce flavorful notes of oak and leather finessed by hints of vanilla and roasted coffee bean.
Described by Drew Estate as an "inverse Liga Privada," Undercrown's blend consists of many of the same tobaccos found in Drew Estate's popular Liga Privada No. 9 and T52 lines, but with a twist. As the story goes, the torcedores in the Drew Estate cigar factory were smoking too many Liga Privadas, depleting the inventory of Connecticut wrapper. In 2015, Drew Estate added a lighter version that uses Connecticut-seed wrapper grown in Ecuador.
