Alfonso Extra Anejo - #1

Alfonso is another astounding line from Selected Tobaccos, the brand behind Atabey, Byron, Bandolero, and more. Alfonso pays homage to the Alfonso family, who have been producing premium, hand rolled cigars in Cuba since 1850. Alfonoso's Produccion Limitada line uses a 2 year old Ecuadorian wrapper, 3 year old Ecuadorian binder, and fillers aged for 3 years. Followed by 4 years of post-roll age, a process used almost exclusively by Selected Tobacco brands.

Produccion Limitada starts out with the Anejos No. 1, at a smooth, complex medium plus bodied cigar, and then tapers down to the No. 6, ringing in just shy of medium. With the smaller of the vitolas being more full bodied, and the larger being more medium bodied.
